Shannon E. McCall, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-I, CEMC, CRC, CCDS, CCDS-O, is the director of HIM and coding for HCPro. She oversees all of the Certified Coder Boot Camp programs. Watson, RHIA, CDIP, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CDEO, CIC, CPMA, CRC, CVBA CRCR, is a healthcare leader with 20+ years of experience transforming coding, compliance, CDI, and revenue cycle operations across academic medical centers, health systems, payers, and physician organizations. Her career has centered on building high-performing teams, modernizing coding operations, and leveraging technology—especially AI-enabled automation—to reduce revenue leakage, strengthen compliance, and elevate organizational performance. Currently, Watson serves as corporate coding director for Allegheny Health Network, leading enterprise-wide coding operations for 14 hospitals and 2,600+ providers. As an AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS and CDI trainer, AAPC Approved Instructor, and adjunct professor, Watson is also passionate about developing coding talent and advancing education across the profession.
